The twelve signs occupy U+2648 to U+2653. Most phones draw them as colored emoji, yet each one also has a plain monochrome form that takes the color of your text. Append U+FE0E to ask for the text form or U+FE0F to ask for the emoji form. Whether the request is honored depends on the app and the font.
The ranges above are the usual tropical-zodiac dates. They can move by a day from year to year and differ between sources, so treat them as approximate.
Signs are commonly grouped by element: fire (Aries, Leo, Sagittarius), earth (Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn), air (Gemini, Libra, Aquarius) and water (Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces).
Ophiuchus (U+26CE) is a real constellation that the Sun crosses between Scorpius and Sagittarius. It is not one of the twelve traditional signs, but Unicode encodes it, so you can paste it. The planet glyphs are the traditional chart symbols.
Astrology bios and horoscope captions often pair a sign with its name, as in ♌ Leo, because the symbol alone is easy to misread at small sizes. Capricorn ♑ and Scorpio ♏ are among the most intricate glyphs, so they can look blurry on low-resolution screens. Test a sign on the device where it will be shown.
The twelve signs run from U+2648 Aries to U+2653 Pisces. Ophiuchus is separate at U+26CE, and the planet glyphs sit in the Miscellaneous Symbols block.
Put the variation selector U+FE0E right after the sign. U+FE0F forces the emoji look. Some apps ignore both and always show their own style.
In astrology it is not one of the twelve signs, although the Sun does pass through the constellation. Unicode includes the symbol anyway.
